Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Faciem is private by default. In the current version, no data is collected and nothing leaves your device. Any future features that involve data leaving your device — such as optional cloud backup or friend sharing — will always require your explicit opt-in. We will never collect, transmit, or share your data without your consent.

What Data We Collect

Currently: none. Faciem is a fully offline application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.

If optional features that involve data collection are added in the future, they will be clearly labeled, require explicit opt-in, and be covered by an updated version of this policy.

Photos & Data Storage

All photos captured with Faciem are stored exclusively on your device. Photos are not uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third-party platform unless you explicitly choose to enable a future optional cloud feature.

If you choose to enable the "Save to Photos" option, copies of your captures will also be saved to your device's iOS Photos library. This is a local operation — no data is transmitted externally.

Location Data

If you grant location permission, Faciem stores your approximate location with each capture — on your device only. Location data is never transmitted. You can disable location capture at any time in the app's settings, and you can use Faciem fully without granting location access.

Data Export

Faciem provides a full data export feature. When you export, a ZIP file containing your photos and metadata is created locally on your device. What you do with that export is entirely up to you — we have no involvement or access.

Third-Party Services

Faciem currently uses no third-party services. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no social integrations. The app operates entirely on your device.

Our Consent Commitment

Faciem is built on a simple principle: your data only goes where you send it. This applies today and to every feature we build in the future. Offline is the default. Any feature that involves data leaving your device — cloud backup, friend sharing, or anything else — will always be strictly opt-in, clearly explained before you enable it, and reversible.

We will never collect or transmit your data as a background behavior. You will always know what you're agreeing to.

Children's Privacy

Faciem currently collects no data from any user and has no account system, so there are no special provisions needed for children's privacy at this time. If account-based features are added in the future, age requirements and parental consent provisions will be addressed accordingly.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this privacy policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Any change that involves collecting new categories of data will require fresh consent — we will not treat acceptance of a prior policy as consent to new data practices.
